Stop #2 at China Chilcano |
The third annual Dine-N-Dash takes place next month (Tuesday, June 9th) but select members of the press (including yours truly) received a sneak peak of what's to come, earlier this afternoon. This included stops at China Chilcano, Jaleo and Oyamel, three of 12 participating restaurants for next month's main event. Along the way, we were treated to several delicious bites and drinks (both alcoholic and non) as well as important messages from World Central Kitchen's Brian MacNair (Executive Director) and Kevin Holst (Director of Development & Communications.) In a nutshell, they're "searching for smart solutions to hunger and poverty," and "not just handing out food." Great work indeed.
What better way to spread the word (and raise money) than DC's ultimate foodie event... Dine-N-Dash. The culinary tour gets underway on June 9th from 6-9 PM, followed by a special after-party at the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square from 9-11 PM. Tickets are available now, $129 for General Admission and $299 for VIP ticket. Both packages include Featured drinks and tastings at each restaurant (click here to see who's participating.)
