The DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) announces two shows on the Capitol Riverfront at Yards Park - Events DC Presents: DC JazzFest at The Yards - Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13. Tickets go on sale April 2 for the Saturday, June 13 show featuring an amazing lineup that includes multiple award-winner COMMON, Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding Presents: Emily’s D+Evolution, Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Femi Kuti and The Positive Force, and perennial DC favorite, saxophonist Marshall Keys.
Events DC Presents: DC JazzFest at The Yards will be preceded by a free show on Friday, June 12 at The Yards featuring fabled New Orleans brass/funk band the Soul Rebels and world-renowned songstress Sharón Clark, a DCJF gift to the DC community and Festival patrons from around the world.
The fastest growing jazz festival in the U.S., this year the DC Jazz Festival will welcome a diverse selection of locally, nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, performing in venues across the nation’s capital, June 10-16.
The Festival’s outdoor showcase on the Capitol Riverfront at Yards Park returns for the second straight year, by popular demand. The event is a two-day blowout at which fans will enjoy cool jazz at the beautiful urban, green, innovative Yards Park, overlooking the Anacostia River. It will include beverage tastings, chef demonstrations, family-friendly activities, cabanas and a marketplace.

Tickets will be available for purchase via Ticketmaster on April 2. Capitol Riverfront at Yards Park is located at 355 Water St. SE. Gates open at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 13. Performances begin at 3:00 pm (subject to change). The Marketplace is open 2:00 until 9:00 pm. Music ends at 10:00 pm. Blankets, lawn chairs and small coolers are allowed.
