Spring Into a Vacation with The Jefferson, Washington, DC
The Jefferson, Washington, DC, a luxury boutique hotel located in the nation’s capital, has a multitude of initiatives lined up for spring 2015.
New Springtime Hotel Programming: Beginning March 20, The Jefferson will station a local historian in its unique on-site library, available to speak with, inform and educate guests on a complimentary basis. The resident historian will be available Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. for group discussions and casual consultations, tailoring conversations to capture the interest of families, couples and business travelers alike, with the overall aim of offering assistance to guests interested in an engaging exploration of U.S. history. The launch of the program is timed to the 104th National Cherry Blossom Festival, March 20 - April 12 (these are the original dates, but peak bloom is now predicted from April 11-14) as well as in celebration of Thomas Jefferson’s birthday (April 13). The historian’s bio and interview opportunities are available upon request.
New Springtime Dining: The Jefferson’s restaurant Plume is one of Washington, DC’s most acclaimed fine dining destinations and the only restaurant in the city with a Forbes Travel Guide five-star distinction. With three sommeliers on staff, and one the most extensive Madeira Wine collections in the country with bottles dating back to the 1790s available to taste, The Jefferson creates an outstanding dining experience for every guest.
Easter Brunch: The Jefferson invites locals and traveling guests to an elegant multi-course brunch that includes dishes such as: Smoked Scottish Salmon with Red Onion Jam, Cream Cheese and Bagel Chips, Honey Mustard Rack of Shenandoah Lamb with Yellow Ratatouille, Blue Potato Gratin, Thyme Lamb Reduction and Dulce de Leche & Golden Pineapple Tart with a Caramel Speculoos.
• Easter Brunch will run on Sunday, April 5 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Thomas Jefferson’s Birthday: On April 13, Plume will celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s 272th birthday with a new signature tasting menu including: Green & White Asparagus Mousse, Stingray Oyster Gratin, American Shad, Grilled Veal Strip Loin and Quince Apple Pie

Cherry Blossom Season: Perhaps the most beautiful time of the year to visit DC, The Jefferson is offering the Beautiful Blossoms Package in accordance with cherry blossom season.
