Talk about
perfect timing: The nation's capital just wrapped up another week of cold temperatures, icy roads and snow. I don't know about you, but all
I could think about was getting away. Enter the 11th annual
DC Travel & Adventure Show to the rescue. The popular travel show returned to the
Walter E. Washington Convention Center for the first of two days, to remind us that sometimes getting away is "where it's at."
Just in case you missed all the fun yesterday, there's still time to catch up. The show returns today with special guest appearances by
Rick Steves,
Samantha Brown and
Patricia Schultz, as well as lots of activities, food and fun/romantic getaway opportunities. Time to start packing!
Doors open at 10:30 AM (Europe Through the Back Door with Rick Steves starts 15 minutes later at 10:45 AM.) It's cash only at the box office: Adult tickets are $16 (but you can buy them online for only $11!
Click here to purchase.) Kids under 16 get in FREE with an adult. The show wraps up later this afternoon at 4:00 PM.
