On Sale Tomorrow: Climber Tommy Caldwell at Nat Geo

From our friends at the National Geographic Museum...

WHAT:  On June 3 and June 4, world-renowned climber Tommy Caldwell will share his experience completing the history-making ascent in January of El Capitan’s Dawn Wall at National Geographic Live. “Tommy Caldwell: Triumph on the Dawn Wall” will highlight the amazing achievement of Caldwell and his colleague Kevin Jorgenson in reaching the treacherous summit of Yosemite’s El Capitan after a harrowing 19-day climb. As the first people to free climb the 3,000-foot Dawn Wall, Caldwell and Jorgenson made headlines worldwide and undoubtedly contributed to the growing popularity of the sport.

A 2015 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, Caldwell is widely regarded as one of the world’s best climbers. While the Dawn Wall climb earned him worldwide recognition, Caldwell also has a number of other incredible “first ascents” to his credit, including some of the country’s hardest climbing routes. He will share stories from all of these extraordinary feats during this very special National Geographic Live event.
