Masa 14 Launches Unlimited Chef's Tasting Menu

Acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval’s lively neighborhood restaurant, Masa 14, located at 1825 14th Street, NW, 20009, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new Unlimited Chef’s Tasting Menu, featuring unlimited small plates and free-flowing cocktails. Available Sunday through Thursday (last seating available at 9 p.m.), the menu offers two package options: Unlimited Latin-Asian small plates for $49 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), or Unlimited Latin-Asian small plates and a select of bottomless drinks for $65 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). The entire table must order the same Unlimited Chef’s Tasting Menu offering and guests have a two-hour window to enjoy their food and libations. Masa 14's full a la carte menu is also available nightly.

Guests enjoying the Unlimited Chef's Tasting Menu can enjoy an array of dishes from the Latin-Asian inspired menu. Salads and Starters include She-Crab Bisque, crab pirouette, amontillado sherry and chive, Crispy Calamari, Szechuan peppercorn, ginger, Thai basil and a sweet & spicy chili sauce, and the Hijiki Seaweed-Jicama Salad with sesame dressing, chayote and daikon sprouts. Showstoppers from the Wok section of the menu include Charred Octopus with chorizo, fingerling potato, haricot vert, saffron aioli and micro greens; Roasted Cauliflower with ginger, garlic and bird’s eye chili, and the Lo Main Noodles, hanger steak, oyster sauce, broccolini, jicama, black mushrooms and chipotle. Dim Sum dishes include Pork Belly Steamed Buns with achiote, pineapple sambal, cilantro and Serrano chili, and the Crunchy Shrimp with chipotle aioli, teriyaki, toasted sesame and masago.

Dishes from the Land & Sea section of the menu include Pollo a la Braza, a Peruvian-style chicken with plantains, black beans, aji verde and chicharrón; Seared Ahi Tuna with mole negro, haricot vert and peanut-chile XO, and the Korean Grilled Hanger Steak with bok choy kimchi, white sesame, bean sprouts, guajillo and red miso.  Guests can also look forward to sushi options, such as the Spicy Tuna Bakuchiki Roll with gobo, avocado, Yuzukoshō and sweet chile; Rainbow Tropico Roll with tuna, hamachi, salmon, avocado and a mango-papaya salsa, and the Golden Eel Roll with tamago, avocado, cucumber and a maple-miso sauce.

To complement the dinner menu, signature craft cocktails, wine, and beer options are also available. Cocktails include the Mojito Traditional, Bacardi Castillo, fresh lime, fresh mint and simple syrup; the Margarita Traditional, Sauza Blue Silver Tequila, simple syrup and fresh lime; Strawberry Lemonade, vodka, fresh strawberry puree and lemon juice, and a Caipirinha Tradicional, Cachaça, simple syrup and fresh lime juice. Masa 14 offers House Red and House White wines with the Unlimited Chef’s Tasting Menu, as well as Yuengling, Dos Equis Lager and Amstel Light for beer options.

Masa 14 is located at 1825 14th Street, NW, 20009. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM. The rooftop level is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 2 AM, Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 3 AM.
