Six-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga turns 29 this Saturday; and Madame Tussauds decided to get the party started a few days early, unveiling her newest wax figure at a special ceremony this morning at The Mansion on O Street. Decked out in all black (sheer top and knee-high boots) "Gagaloo" will be on display at DC's Madame Tussauds through June of this year, before moving on to a new location.
Lady Gaga has a habit of making a big splash; and her 2010 Tussauds' debut was no exception, as the famed museum launched eight separate figures on the same day (a record, of course.) Fans (Little Monsters?) were treated to cake (you can't celebrate a birthday without cake) and plenty of photo opportunities. In case you're curious, the gorgeous cake was flavored with mocha and peanut butter... not quite Peach Cobbler, Gaga's favorite food (according to Gagapedia, and yes, there's such a thing as Gagapedia) but delicious all the same.
