With the win, the Eagles conclude the regular season with a 21-8 overall record and 16-2 mark in Patriot League play.

Also scoring in double figures for American was junior Ari Booth with 10 points.

Ari Booth (#32) scored 10 points in just 11 minutes

The teams went back-and-forth for much of the first half, which featured two ties and six lead changes. Neither team led by more than four points, as American and Bucknell went into the locker room tied at 28-28.

Frosh Emily Kinneston (#4) added 8 points

The Eagles scored the first four points of the second half and never trailed again, despite hot shooting by the Bison from beyond the arc. American eventually extended its advantage to double digits with just under six minutes to play and led 63-47 with 2:31 remaining as it cruised to the win.

Future Eagles?

Bucknell shot 45.8 percent from three-point range, knocking down 11-of-24 attempts from beyond the arc, but scored just eight two-point field goals. Meanwhile, American shot 51 percent from the field for the game.

Jacquie Klotz was the leading scorer for the Bison with 16 points, while Audrey Dotson added 14 points.

"We had more offensive momentum today than we have in the last three or four games, but I think it was our defense in the second half made us relax a little more," said American head coach Megan Gebbia. "Once we could get stops and make easier baskets on the offensive end, it just seemed to roll for us."

As the regular-season Patriot League champion and top seed in the PL Tournament, American will host a quarterfinal on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. The Eagles will face the winner of the first-round match-up between the seventh and eighth seeds.
