Ping Pong Dim Sum Announces 50 Shades of Ping Pong for Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year Plan: Do You Feel Lucky?

Ping Pong is inviting guests to pleasure their senses Valentine’s Day weekend with a special 50 Shades-inspired, flavor-tripping dessert experience for two, available with dinner February 13-15 for $25.00. The experience includes a silk blindfold and 2 flavor-tripping tabs that block all sour receptors on your tongue, making the sourest of food sweet; a selection of food to “flavor trip” with including sriracha, Guinness beer and champagne; and a secret 50 Shades-themed take-home box of bedroom accessories for those looking for something  extra at the end of the evening. The experience finishes with a dessert sampler, featuring a black sesame cake with kaffir lime curd, Sichuan chocolate mousse and green tea gelato.

If that wasn’t enough for the special Valentine’s Day weekend, Ping Pong partnered with the Dupont Circle Hotel and is offering guests dining that weekend a chance to win a 2-night stay at the luxury property and a dinner package at Ping Pong Dupont.


Just after these festivities, February 19 marks the start of Chinese New Year around the world and Ping Pong has exciting celebrations planned to honor the holiday and bring luck for the New Year. At Ping Pong, a limited edition Lucky 8 Prix Fixe and daily giveaways will fill the restaurants through the end of the celebration on March 1.

Ping Pong’s Lucky 8 Prix Fixe, available from February 10-19 for $18.88, is a special feast designed to bring good fortune and features 8 signature dumplings filled with traditional ingredients symbolic of luck, health and prosperity. The special collection of items includes a butter poached crab and gold leaf dumpling for fortune, a pork and roasted chestnut parcel for progress, and a caviar and glass noodle dumpling for long life. The meal concludes with a traditional lucky red envelope filled with a prize including complimentary cocktails, dinners and experiences at the restaurants.


Also part of the celebration are the 8 Days of Luck, featuring a daily giveaway. Specials include complimentary longan baijou firecracker cocktails on Tuesdays between 4-6 PM, 10% off your brunch for wearing red on Sundays, and complimentary dessert for everyone born in the Chinese zodiac’s year of the sheep.
