This Valentine's Day, Boqueria DC (http://boqueriadc.com/; 1837 M Street, NW, Washington, DC) will be celebrating with a special prix-fixe menu, perfect for those in a pair or parties of any size. Executive Chef Marc Vidal has curated the special menu, and guests can select any six tapas dishes from the below menu for $65 (plus beverage, tax + gratuity) as well as unlimited Cava option for $20 extra per person. Dishes include:
Ostras en Escabeche: Pemaquid oysters with pickled vegetable relish
Crudo de Vieiras: Scallop crudo, blood orange, coriander cress, watermelon radish
Pan con Tomate: Grilled bread rubbed with tomato, garlic and olive oil
Datiles con Beicon: Dates stuffed with almonds and Valdeon wrapped in bacon
Torrada de Cangrejo: Country bread, Peekytoe crab, avocado, citrus aioli, basil, kohlrabi
Pimientos de Padron: Blistered shishito peppers, coarse sea salt
Espinacas a la Catalana: Sautéed spinach, garbanzos, pine nuts, garlic, golden raisins
Gambas al Ajillo: Shrimp, garlic and Guindilla pepper in olive oil
Patatas Bravas: Crispy potatoes, salsa brava, roasted garlic aioli
Raya a la Plancha: Skate wings, rutabaga, fingerling potatoes, herb yogurt, dill, pickled cauliflower
Ensalada de Remolacha: Roasted beets, farro, Mahon cheese, radish, mint, basil, cherry tomatoes, citrus vinaigrette
Pato con Lentejas: Seared Hudson Valley duck breast, celery root, puy lentils, smoked paprika vinaigrette
Arroz de Bogavante con Almejas: Maine lobster paella with Manila clams, sepia, sofrito and picada
A selection of desserts (both are included) include Sopa de Maria Luisa, lemon verbena soup with lemon sorbet, lychees and almond meringue; and Churros Rellenos, churros filled with Nutella and cinnamon sugar.
