The RAMMY Awards Season Kicks Off December 1

From our friends at the RAMW...

33rd Annual Gala Returns to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center

Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is pleased to announce that The 33rd Annual RAMMY Awards will return to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Award nominations open on Monday, December 1, kicking off a full season that celebrates the region’s outstanding restaurants.

“Returning to the Convention Center was an obvious choice for us. Last year’s gala was an incredible success and this year will continue to impress,” said RAMW President & CEO Kathy E. Hollinger. “We look forward to honoring the exceptional talent of those working in Metropolitan Washington’s vibrant foodservice industry at a venue that represents our city’s ever-evolving culture.”

The Convention Center, an extraordinary 2.3 million-square-foot conventions and meetings facility managed by Events DC, is large enough to accommodate the bigger than ever audience of talented culinary professionals, sponsors and guests, and it allows RAMW to experiment with fresh, dynamic new event elements to highlight sponsors and engage with guests.

“We could not be more excited to once again host the RAMMYS,” commented Gregory A. O’Dell, president and chief executive officer of Events DC. “Our continued support of this signature event only reaffirms Washington, DC as a leading culinary destination.” Events DC is the official “Event Sponsor” of the 2015 RAMMYS.

The annual RAMMY Awards Gala is the signature fundraiser for RAMW recognizing the best and brightest in the area’s vibrant restaurant industry. In 2015, the RAMMYS will debut a new type of sponsorship, enabling organizations to come together in a custom, one-of-a-kind lounge perfect for entertaining colleagues and invited guests during the event.

RAMMYS award nominations will be accepted starting today, Monday, December 1, and will remain open through Monday, January 5. To nominate an outstanding operator or professional in the area’s exceptional restaurant industry, visit https://ramw.secure-platform.com/a through midnight, the evening of Monday, January 5. Finalists in 21 categories will be announced at a special event in March.
