MET Bethesda Opens at Westfield Montgomery Shopping Complex Next Week

From our friends at MET Bethesda...

One of the newest restaurants to enter the Greater Washington D.C. dining scene will be “MET Bethesda” opening next week at the upscale Westfield Montgomery shopping center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Located on the second floor at Westfield Montgomery, next to the ArcLight Cinemas and adjacent to the Westfield Montgomery food terrace, MET Bethesda boasts an expansive dining room with 120 seats and a unique 40-seat full service bar prominently located in the center of the restaurant, with an additional private dining room that seats up to 24 guests.

The changing seasonal menu will boast signature menu items such as: Spaghettini Carbonara with blue crab, chilies, lemon and fried egg, the Pounded Veal Chop on the Bone with watercress, escarole, endive, Taleggio, red onion, dates, walnuts and parmesan vinaigrette, and the Green Guru salad with kale, baby spinach, avocado, broccoli, shaved carrot, spiced pumpkin seeds, haricot verts, cilantro, mint and green goddess dressing. Signature items will be further complimented by both the wood-fired grill items and the “Char-Bar.”

The MET’s wood-fired specialties like Whole Branzino with lemon grass, garlic-kale and sambal asam, Baby Back Ribs with grilled pineapple and jalapeƱo French fry salad and Prime Bone-in Ribeye for Two are among a few of the great wood-fired specials.

The MET's signature "Char Bar," will play host to "American Yakitori” - marinated, skewered and grilled beef, pork, chicken, seafood and vegetables cooked over an open fire great for sharing or snacking.

The bar program at MET Bethesda will host amazing wines, beers and craft cocktails and will feature the debut of its new-to-market, on-tap 30 flavor MET MARTINI BAR featuring exotic and interesting flavors like Lychee Ginger and White Peach, to Coconut, Caramelized Pineapple and Prickly Pear. The on-tap system will always have The MET's signature cocktails: Blood Orange Martinis and MET Bloody Mary’s and a selection of "flavor flights" that will change seasonally. The General Manager of MET Bethesda will be Patrick Desotelle who has held court at Le Diplomate and Zaytinya among others.
