Has it been a year already? Seems like just yesterday when Vice President Joe Biden stopped by the district's very first Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop at 1800 M Street (White House Press Corps and Secret Service in tow.) Who better to serve as first customer than Capriotti's biggest (and most loyal) fan? It was a match made in "Sandwich Heaven."
There's a good chance the VP returns this Friday (November 21st) but fear not, there's Bobbies for everyone. In fact, the first 50 customers in the door get a FREE Bobbie sandwich to commemorate the anniversary. What's a Bobbie? Are you kidding? It's basically "Thanksgiving on a roll" without all the prep work and dirty dishes. House-roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. In other words, one of the best sandwiches in town (read our review here.)
Doors open Friday at 11:00 AM. My advice? Get there early, and bring your appetite (and camera too... You never know WHO you might bump into.) Capriotti's is open Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM and Friday - Saturday, 11:00 AM - Midnight. Click here to see their full menu.
