Dupont Circle's Newest Fast Casual Spot to Run on Greek Time Friday & Saturday Nights
GRK Fresh Greek is excited to officially launch its late night weekend hours. Starting on Friday, October 3, GRK Fresh Greek (1140 19th Street, NW) will be open until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights. The new fast casual Greek concept, which opened in July, will cater to the late night Dupont Circle crowd seeking post dinner food.
The straightforward menu guides guests through four fool-proof steps to create the perfect Yeero that is practically impossible to mess up. Spelled phonetically to differentiate this signature classic Greek dish from the traditional gyro, GRK's Yeero features meat seasoned and marinated in yogurt, and slow roasted on a rotisserie grill until it is dripping in flavor. Guests may choose from lamb & beef, chicken, pork, Portobello mushrooms and fresh vegetables, served on a classic pita baked in a wood stove oven, or served on a plate. To top it off, GRK offers three distinct yogurt-based tzatzikis: classic and zesty GRK, fire-roasted habanero pepper Kaftero, and garlic and basil infused Prassino. And what late night meal is complete without something fried? GRK's salt, pepper and garlic seasoned fries seal the late night deal.
GRK's menu is for more than just those returning from a night on the town. Anyone looking for a tasty snack or meal after most kitchens have closed can choose from a selection of entree salads, fresh and frozen Greek yogurt with sweet and savory toppings, the crispy Aegean slaw, and the tzatziki sampler. The savory Simi yogurt specialty suggests olives, tomato, pepper, cucumber, basil, pita chips and extra virgin olive oil, while the Corfu recommends basil, apples, figs, lentils, sea salt and extra virgin olive oil.
Lunch, dinner and late night dining are offered on the outdoor patio, inside at the counter facing the open kitchen, or on the more intimate lower level. Beverages include beer and wine as well as a variety of Greek sodas and Illy coffee drinks.
GRK is open Monday through Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday 11am to 3am; Saturday 12 noon to 3am; and Sunday 12 noon to 10pm.
