DC Shot of the Day: F. Scott Fitzgerald Gravesite

Did you know? The great F. Scott Fitzgerald is buried nearby in Rockville, Maryland? It took some doing (Re-Catholicization) but the author of The Great Gatsby was finally laid to rest in his family plot (with wife Zelda) at St. Mary's Catholic Church back in 1975. Recently, his gravesite has become somewhat of a tourist attraction... thanks to last year's glitzy 3D film The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role. Visitors still leave mementos (pens, etc.) on his grave. Fitzgerald passed away from a heart attack on December 20, 1940: He was just 44.
