| Slate Wine Bar + Bistro celebrates its 2nd anniversary |

As part of their two-year anniversary celebration, Slate Wine Bar + Bistro is unveiling a new menu. The restaurant is holding anniversary specials for the week of August 25-31, 2014, and will hold an anniversary party on Thursday, August 28, 2014. The public is invited to attend the week-long celebration, take advantage of the specials, and try out the new menu. Slate is located in the Glover Park section of Washington, D.C., at 2404 Wisconsin Ave NW.
“We are excited to be celebrating our two-year anniversary, but to also be offering a new menu for our guests to try,” explained Danny Lledo, manager of Slate Wine Bar + Bistro, located in the Glover Park area of Washington D.C. “We put a lot of thought into creating a menu that would best represent what we are all about. I think people will be pleased with the selections and variety that we have to offer.”
The anniversary week specials include:
• $16 glasses of Veuve Clicquot
• Complimentary Bubbly Toast with Chocolate-Covered Strawberries for every dinner guest
• Drawings for prizes including a bottle from Elizabeth & Danny's Private Label Collection and other gift certificates
• An anniversary party will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 6:00 PM to close. The anniversary party will feature $30 unlimited wine tastings of 8 wines ($30 online, $40 at the door), and happy hour food specials all night.
Slate’s new menu, that will debut during their anniversary week, features a variety of carefully selected dishes. Options include small plates, soups and salads, cheese and charcuterie, and entrees, such as eggplant parmesan, risotto, mussels frites, pan-seared salmon barigoule, daily seafood specials, pork tenderloin, pan-seared duck breast, slate burger, bistro filet, and bone-in ribeye. The menu features both vegetarian and gluten-free dishes that are labeled as such, using a (v) and (gf).
“This is going to be a great anniversary week for us and our customers,” added Lledo. “We can’t wait to share this special week and our delicious menu with the public. We invite everyone to join in on the celebration.”
In addition to offering a wine list that includes sustainable options, Slate offers a menu that features daily seafood specials and dishes made with locally grown ingredients.
