Loews Madison Hotel Celebrates National Dog Day with a "Yappy Hour"

From our friends at Loews Madison Hotel...

Loews Madison Hotel Goes to the Dogs with a "Yappy Hour" in Celebration of National Dog Day, August 26th

A portion of the proceeds will benefit City Dogs Rescue

The dog days of summer are upon us, and with them a splendid opportunity to celebrate everybody’s best friend with a “Yappy Hour” at the Loews Madison Hotel on August 26th in honor of National Dog Day. From 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, guests will enjoy a dog-friendly happy hour including signature “dogtail” drinks, chief-inspired treats for dogs (and appetizers for owners), and “Hydrant Bar” with designer H2O for high-end pups.

Local pet businesses participating in the Yappy Hour include WagTime, Pet Peeps, Wylie Wagg, Fur Get Me Not and Barkley Square. A portion of the proceeds will benefit City Dogs Rescue, a volunteer foster network based in DC. City Dogs will be bringing dogs up for adoption to the event to meet guests and hopefully find a loving, forever home.

The National Dog Day offerings are in keeping with the pet-friendly policies of Loews Hotels & Resorts. Like all Loews addresses across North America, Loews Madison Hotel regularly welcomes four-legged friends - dogs and cats alike. (Limit two pets per room; proof of up-to-date vaccinations required.)

National Dog Day is celebrated each August in recognition of the number of dogs that need to be rescued annually and to show appreciation of the long connection between humans and canines. With their endearing patience, unquestioning loyalty, hard work, and bottomless capacity for love, dogs really do deserve a day of their own.

“Loews Madison Hotel is a great destination for dogs. We've always opened our hearts and doors to pets, and National Dog Day is the perfect opportunity for us to show just how welcome they are at Loews Madison Hotel,” said Cheraz Ecker, General Manager.
