Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House to Open at CityCenterDC

From our friends at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House...

Del’s to Join High-End Retailers at New Downtown Community

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, known for its impeccable hospitality and consistent, superior standard, will open an outpost in downtown DC in late summer at CityCenterDC (950 Eye Street NW; 202-289-0201). The Steak House will serve bold, chef-driven cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef Scott Kroener, alongside a world class, award-winning wine list with flawless and hospitable service fit for a king, but shared with everyone.

Fans of the popular Steak House brand will find a familiar menu, with a focus on bone-in prime steaks and fresh seafood. A steak and lobster combination is portioned to share with two center cut filet mignons, lobster carved tableside, and a selection of three sauces. Other seafood options include a Med-inspired chilled octopus with gigante beans, tomatoes, olives, capers & lemon, and a signature crab cake appetizer served in a Cajun lobster sauce. Accompaniments include a succulent lobster mac and cheese, and shaved Brussels sprouts with bacon and caramelized onions. Desserts will include a memorable, towering six-layer lemon doberge cake made from scratch daily and frosted with three different icings, as well as a selection of house made miniature donuts with dipping sauces.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House features a sizable, diverse wine list of more than 1,200 labels, to include a number of notable verticals from both old and new world producers. The program is led by Wine Director David O’Day and presented by a team of knowledgeable sommeliers available to navigate guests through selections that have been curated to complement every dish without overpowering.

Two split-level dining rooms are bathed in sunlight during the day, and offer an abundance of energy at night, achieved through floor to ceiling windows and a natural, earthy color palate. Wine storage in modern backlit wall cut outs, and the invigorating lights of the surrounding city give the restaurant a vitality that makes it a perfect spot for lunch or dinner any day of the week. Far from stuffy, the melodic beats of Motown and remixed jazz standards provide the backdrop for a cool, sophisticated meal with friends, family, or colleagues. The third, lower level, a contemporary wine cellar featuring walls of glass encased bottles, is host to one of three private dining rooms which can accommodate up to 80 or split to accommodate two groups of 40. The more intimate board room upstairs can seat 15, and offers state of the art A/V services for business meetings or cozy celebrations.

What sets Del Frisco’s Double Eagle apart from a traditional steakhouse is not simply fine food and wine, nor is it the exciting atmosphere, but rather consistently impeccable service from start to finish.  General Manager Ann Thibert said, “Our diners can expect a well-trained, smiling staff that remembers your name, the occasion, and your personal preferences.” She continued, “We strive to exceed expectations and deliver the superior experience that Double Eagle guests in other cities have come to expect.”

Joining Del Frisco’s Double Eagle in the new CityCenterDC development will be a lineup of enviable destination shopping to include Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and more. The Steak House is a short walk from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the Verizon Center, and while it is easily accessible via Metro, complimentary valet parking is available on both Eye and 9th Streets NW.

With three floors that include two bars, a lounge, wine cellar, private dining rooms and board room, and a picturesque courtyard patio, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House boasts a total of 400 seats. For more information about private dining, contact Emily Baker at ebaker@dfrg.com.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
