Wizards 2014 NBA Summer League Schedule Announced

The National Basketball Association released today the schedule for the 2014 NBA Summer League. The Wizards will play in three preliminary round games from July 12-15 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Washington will play its first game on Saturday, July 12 vs. Atlanta at 4:30 p.m. EDT. Their next two games are scheduled for Sunday, July 13 vs. Minnesota at 10:30 p.m. EDT and Tuesday, July 15 vs. Miami at 6:30 p.m. EDT. All three of the Wizards preliminary games will take place at the Thomas and Mack Center.

The 67-game NBA Summer League schedule will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and will feature 22 NBA teams as well as a team of NBA D-League Select players competing for the inaugural NBA Summer League title. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

* 2013 draft picks Otto Porter and Glen Rice, Jr. are scheduled to participate for the Wizards, in addition to undrafted free agent rookies Khem Birch (PF, UNLV) Deonte Burton (PG, Nevada) Jarell Eddie (SF, Virginia Tech) and fellow ACC'er Daniel Miller (C, Georgia Tech.) Both Birch and Burton were consensus picks to be selected in this year's NBA Draft (second round.) Also in the mix... 2010 first round selection (and former college teammate of John WallDaniel Orton (C, Kentucky.)
