The
Green Festival DC celebrated its 10th year at the Walter E. Washington Center this past weekend, with two days of food, kid's activities, lectures, music and even
yoga. There were cooking demos, giveaways and literally
dozens of informative programs geared towards making life cleaner, healthier and safer for everyone. Shopaholics had over 300 eco-friendly options to choose from, including all-natural bath & beauty products, household goods, organic clothing and a wide variety of vegan, vegetarian and speciality foods. Even consumer advocate
extraordinaire Ralph Nader managed to make a surprise return visit on Sunday.
America's largest & longest-running
green living event got underway a month ago in New York; and takes the summer off, before moving on to Los Angeles (September 12-14) Chicago (October 24-26) and finally San Francisco (November 14-16.)
