I decided to get an
early jump on this year's
Smithsonian Folklife Festival, which kicked off its 48th annual celebration on the National Mall this past Wednesday. This year's festival runs through Sunday, July 6th with days off on June 30th and July 1st, and celebrates (1)
China: Tradition and the Art of Living and (2)
Kenya: Mambo Poa. As always, admission is free; with the festival open daily 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, followed by a series of evening concerts, beginning at 6:00 PM.
