LivingSocial Partners with World Central Kitchen for 2nd Annual Dine-N-Dash

From our friends at LivingSocial...

Second Annual Fundraiser for Non-Profit Features Specialty Dishes

LivingSocial is partnering with World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions for hunger and poverty worldwide, for the second annual Dine-N-Dash event in Washington, D.C.’s historic Penn Quarter neighborhood on Tuesday, June 10. All proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen.

Presented by award-winning Chef José Andrés for the second year, Dine-N-Dash offers foodies an affordable chance to try some of D.C.’s finest cuisine. Known for his restaurants in D.C., Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, among others, the event enables Chef Andrés to share his passion for food, while helping to feed the world’s less fortunate at the same time. Last year’s event was attended by more than 600 guests and generated more than $60,000 for World Central Kitchen’s cause.

During Dine-N-Dash, guests will enjoy specialty dishes and cocktails at some of the city’s finest restaurants and food trucks including Cuba Libre, PEPE, DC Empanadas, Poste Brasserie, Del Campo, Proof, Jaleo, SEI, Menu/MBK, TaKorean, Oyamel, Zaytinya and The Partisan. The evening of restaurant-hopping begins at 6:00 PM and features unlimited featured drinks and up to five tastings at each restaurant.

Starting Monday, June 2nd, LivingSocial will invite Twitter followers to help raise awareness of World Central Kitchen and contribute to the cause via #DineNDashDC. For each retweet, LivingSocial will donate one dollar (up to $10,000) to World Central Kitchen. Follow @LivingSocial on Twitter for information on how to participate.

“This event combines many of LivingSocial’s passions – the local community, food, fun and a good cause,” said Sara Parker, head of communications at LivingSocial. “We love working with José Andrés and his team, and are proud to be partners in this event as World Central Kitchen does such amazing work to combat hunger and poverty.”

Tickets start at $99 for general admission and are available on LivingSocial. Other ticket packages include:

•  VIP ($249) – Express access to featured drinks and up to five tasting at each of the thirteen restaurants, along with access to pedicab transportation throughout the night. Along with this, VIPs will also have access to an after-party with José Andrés and friends at Zaytinya.

•  Ambassador Pass ($400) – All the perks of the VIP ticket, along with exclusive access to a pre-party at 5:00 PM with Chef Andrés at BarMini. Ambassador passes can be purchased here.
