Who doesn't love to travel? Ask any lottery winner or potential retiree what they'd like to do first (second, and third) and almost everyone says
travel. All sorts of options were on display yesterday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for day one of the 10th annual
DC Travel & Adventure Show. Huge crowds filled Hall C throughout the morning and afternoon, to climb walls, ride Segways, scuba dive (yes,
scuba dive) and see animals, celebrities, chefs, dancers and... I think you get the idea.
Tons to see & do; and I haven't even
mentioned the hundreds of exhibitors on hand, hoping to whisk you away to all corners of the world. It's enough to make even
Jules Verne jealous.
The DC Travel & Adventure Show returns today, through 4:00 PM, and features repeat visits by Travel Channel stars
Rick Steves &
Samantha Brown, and first visits by
Andrew McCarthy &
Don Wildman. Visit
www.adventureexpo.com for tickets. Adults (17-and-over) pay $10 Online with Promo Code: DCPR or $15 at the Door. Children 16-and-under are free with a paid adult.
