Bountiful Buffets Showcase Regional Fare, and Children Enjoy a Visit with the Easter Bunny

The Colonnade and Juniper Restaurant at Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown are the places to be in America's capital city for Easter Sunday Brunch. For 28 years, Fairmont’s brunch has pleased many well-known palates, and has become a tradition among Washingtonians.

On Sunday, April 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Executive Chef Mark Timms and his culinary team will prepare a variety of regional favorites and innovative gourmet specialties, all artfully styled in seemingly infinite buffets. Between visits to the buffet, the Easter Bunny will visit with children of all ages in The Colonnade and in Juniper.


Among Chef’s Easter Brunch offerings is a “sustainable Atlantic seafood display” featuring jumbo prawns, crab claws and a cultivated oyster tasting.

Easter entrée selections include carving stations of garlic and rosemary prime rib of beef, bourbon sauce and honey and Dijon-glazed Pennsylvania ham.

Specialty salads such as celery roots and Maine lobster salad with asparagus tips, local mushroom and goat cheese mousse, baby mushroom and cilantro salad and vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil pesto are just a sampling of these bountiful Easter buffets.

Other local favorites such as an artisan cheese collection, made-to-order organic egg omelets and traditional eggs Benedict with Virginia ham and brioche toast will also be featured.

Save room for Pastry Chef Rebecca Clerget’s decadent pastry display - guaranteed to please any sweet tooth. White chocolate and lemon bread pudding, strawberry rhubarb crumble, molten chocolate cake and a dark chocolate fountain are among Chef Clerget’s extensive dessert offerings.

The Colonnade and Juniper Restaurant are located in Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown at 2401 M St., NW, in historic Georgetown. Easter Brunch will be offered on Sunday, April 20, 2014, and served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Priced at $97 per person, free flowing Roederer Sparkling Wine and complimentary valet parking is included.
