Good Stuff Eatery Hosts Contest for BB&T Classic Milkshake
From our friend at Good Stuff Eatery...
When Classics Collide
When one thinks of the ‘classic,’ it is something of the highest quality, class or rank. Several classics will come together on December 6th at Spike Mendelsohn’s Good Stuff Eatery in Georgetown: the classic milkshake; the BB&T Classic and a classic duel of talent—all benefitting children’s charities.
Beginning at noon, Paul Hewitt, Head Coach, George Mason University, Mike Lonergan, Head Coach, George Washington University and Mark Turgeon, Head Coach, University of Maryland will face off in creating the best BB&T Classic Shake in a legendary contest of culinary derring-do to craft the milkshake that best fits their respective teams.
Good Stuff will provide ingredients, chef’s gear and the watchful eye of Chef Spike along with his fellow judges Brian Meenaghan of BB&T Bank, Derrick Dockery, Former Washington Redskin and GWU Alum, Guy Lambert of WPGC FM and Stephon Heyer, NFL Free Agent and UMD Alum, as each competitor vies for the BB&T Classic Shake championship. The winning creation will be offered at Good Stuff Eatery in Georgetown for the entire month of December. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the BB&T Classic Shake will be donated to children’s charities.
“The BB&T Classic brings the best basketball players and avid sports fans together in high spirits for a great purpose- to support children’s charities, “ says Chef Spike Mendelsohn “we’re excited to take the talent off of the court and put it in the kitchen to see who can handle the heat.”
Good Stuff Eatery is located at 3291 M St NW and is open Monday - Saturday from 11:30am; Sunday 12pm-6:30pm. www.goodstuffeatery.com
