In Derby We Trust
Flat-track roller derby is back in the nation's capital: The DC Rollergirls returns to DC Armory tomorrow, to kick off the league's eighth season with a 4:00 PM doubleheader. Scare Force One takes on the Majority Whips in the opening bout, followed by the DC DemonCats vs. the Cherry Blossom Bombshells in bout 2. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or without fees at the DC Armory box office. Guests 12 & older pay $12, kids 6 to 11 pay $6 and all kids 5 and under get in for free. Military? Just 10 bucks.
Just added, all Federal Employees get a 20% discount, by flashing your government ID at the door. Of course, DC Outlook will be on hand to catch all the highlights: Check back tomorrow night for a doubleheader recap (and photos.)
