The Mendelsohn Family Brings Good Stuff Eatery to Georgetown

A Third Location of the Popular Restaurant Opens

Five years after the first location of Good Stuff Eatery opened on Capitol Hill, the Mendelsohn family proudly opens their third outpost of the popular burger restaurant in Georgetown. Good Stuff Eatery brings chef-inspired handcrafted burgers, hand cut fries and handspun shakes to the historic neighborhood, opening on Monday July 29th.

Good Stuff Eatery, the brainchild of restaurateur Cathy Mendelsohn, was inspired by her father Sunny Nakis. Nakis famously served his family deliciously juicy hamburgers wrapped up in wax paper. As a tribute to him, and this favorite saying, “Now that’s Good Stuff!”, the restaurant wraps their hamburgers in wax paper to keep everything hot and tasty. The Mendelsohn family brings generations of restaurant experience to their newest location, ensuring that every Good Stuff Eatery is dedicated to the highest quality food and hospitality.

“It’s a family affair, and we aim to treat our customers like family as well,” says Chef Spike Mendelsohn, “we are thrilled to be opening our third location in such a dynamic and community centric neighborhood.”

This location of Good Stuff Eatery features a wall crafted of reclaimed barn wood from Maryland, exemplifying the restaurant concept’s message of delivering flavors fresh from the farm. Homemade custard for milkshakes is churned daily inside the restaurant’s Creamery, located on the second level of the restaurant, in view of the 50 seats available for customers.

To celebrate the opening of the Georgetown location, the popular special Red Velvet Shake will become a permanent menu item.

The Georgetown location will be open Monday to Saturday from 11:30am and Sundays from 12pm-7pm.
