FallBack Fridays & Retro Menus at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington DC

From our friends at the Westend Bistro...

The patio of Westend Bistro at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. is going retro for the fall season with FallBack Fridays each Friday evening from 4:30 - 10:30 PM, offering refined renditions of culinary favorites from the 80s and 90s.

Drawing inspiration from previous decades, Westend Bistro’s Chef De Cuisine, Alvin Dela Cruz has put playful twists on childhood favorites such as:

• ‘Lunchables’ with house made crackers, and a selection of local and domestic cheese and charcuterie.

• ‘PB&J’ with blueberry compote, house made honey, almond butter, and toasted country bread.

• ‘Ham & Cheese Sandwich’ with grilled Virginia ham, melted raclette cheese and herbed butter.

• ‘Cheese Balls’ of twice breaded mozzarella and parmesan dust.

To complete the menu, a must try by the luxury hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, John Quinn is a whimsically plated ‘Milk & Cookies’ that is comprised of an oreo milkshake and cookies & cream petit four.

While enjoying the patio on crisp fall evenings, guests can also sip on “adult” signature beverages such as the ‘Boozy Fruit Punch’ made of lime, pineapple, spiced rum and raspberries, the ‘Westend Hard Lemonade’ made of house made lemonade, vodka and local honeycomb, or the ‘Maple Bourbon Smash’ made of orange bitters, bourbon and maple syrup.

The playfulness of Fallback Fridays does not end with the menu. Fun throwback games such as Connect Four, Giant Jenga, and Tic Tac Toe will also be available to enjoy!
