Drift on 7th Celebrates National Shrimp Day in a Big Way

May 9th is National Shrimp Day. At Drift on 7th located at 1819 7th Street, NW in the city’s Shaw neighborhood, shrimp is a big deal. Chef Ferhat Yalcin offers a variety of these yummy crustaceans in celebration.

The restaurant will feature Shrimp Tacos served in crunchy corn tortillas with pico de gallo, garlic and sour cream ($16); Cajun shrimp, a zingy, garlicky dish ($5) and shrimp ceviche ($12), a contemporary take on this classic with corn, cilantro and Balsamic vinegar.

The bar is underlit with ocean blue, while the walls feature warm wooden boardwalk planks and marine décor.
