Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Movie Review

Eddie Redmayne stars in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Muggle-Worthy

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: The magic of Harry Potter lives on in this Warner Bros. spin-off penned by J.K. Rowling, and intended as the first chapter in a whole new fantasy film franchise. Directed by David Yates.

Harry Potter had its moments; but I'm here to tell you, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is all that and a bag of chips. It starts off kinda slow (I was this close to dozing off) but before I knew it, I found myself immersed in a magical world of aurors, nifflers and occamys. Don't ask me what they are; but suffice it to say, they lend enough whimsical wonder to balance a superb cast of new characters that (somehow) manages to put Harry, Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort to shame. One of the best spin-offs in decades.
