5 to 7 Movie Review

Bérénice Marlohe & Anton Yelchin (r) star in 5 to 7

Till Then Then

IMDb Plot: An aspiring novelist (Anton Yelchin) enters into a relationship with a woman (Bérénice Marlohe) though there's just one catch: She's married, and the couple can only meet between the hours of 5 and 7 each evening.

"Enormous things happen in every life," and 5 to 7 has at least one (Marlohe... mercy.) It's not the likeliest of scenarios; but it's nice to know someone has a chance with the captivating Bérénice (yes, I'm smitten.) One man's idea of "tawdry & hedonistic" is another man's opportunity: That said, it's really hard to swallow. Lines like "Please forgive any hot dog-related moisture" fall horribly flat. Ditto for meeting, then playing with Bérénice's kids. Creepy. Much better: Lunch with Glenn Close & Frank Langella. Trade Brian (Yelchin) in for an older, suaver model; and we might be onto something.
