Interstellar Movie Review

Matthew McConaughey stars in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar

The Earth is Ours

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.

It's official: Christopher Nolan is a genius. Interstellar is fast-paced (no small feat at 169 minutes) funny, thrilling and utterly original. I've never seen anything like it. The visuals (see it on 70mm IMAX) are jaw-dropping; and the sounds (especially Hans Zimmer's soundtrack) music to ones' ears. Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway top an all-star cast, with both displaying uncanny raw emotion as well as all-around likability. The ending is a stretch, and requires an open mind (naysayers need not apply) but the rewards are infinite. Prepare to be dazzled. Eclipses The Raid 2 as best film of the year.
