MXDC Cocina Mexicana Celebrates National Ceviche Day

MXDC Cocina Mexicana, the modern Mexican restaurant by Celebrity Chef Todd English, is excited to celebrate National Ceviche Day by offering three variations of the seafood dish popularized in the Pacific coastal region of Mexico. From June 25 to June 30, MXDC will offer Shrimp with chipotle, smoked peppers, tomato, lemon and corn; Rockfish Aguachile with cucumber, chile pequin, red onion and citrus and the Spanish Octopus with jalapeño, cantaloupe and mango chili de arbol. Ceviches will be available a la carte, with prices ranging from $12 to $13 each, or as a flight consisting of all three ceviches for a discounted $20. This special offering will be available during lunch and dinner service.

Ivan Iricanin, founder and CEO of Street Guys Hospitality, is pleased to announce the introduction of a daily breakfast menu at his newest venture, Tacos, Tortas & Tequila (TTT), located at 8407 Ramsey Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910. Breakfast debuted Thursday, June 14, which is also the official kick-off of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Soccer fans are encouraged to stop by to watch their favorite team in the restaurant’s 60-seat bar/lounge, which offers three 50-inch flat-screen TVs. Here, guests can enjoy a selection of Entradas, Tostadas, Tacos, Tortas, Quesadillas, and Desayunos Compuestos (composed plates.) Menu items feature cage-free eggs and meats sourced from local Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania farms. Signature menu items include the Carne Asada Con Huevo y Aguacate, chopped ribeye, fried egg and avocado; Huevos Rancheros, fried eggs with organic tortillas, avocado, panela cheese and breakfast potatoes; Huevo Con Papa Tacos, egg, potato, rajas and chihuahua cheese; Tinga Tostadas with chipotle shredded chicken, fried egg, avocado and crema; Hongo Quesadillas with mushroom, Oaxaca cheese, epazote and breakfast potato, as well as a Breakfast Guacamole. Prices range from $2.50 to $9.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Celebrates National Mojito Day with $5 Classic Mojitos Available All Day on Wednesday, July 11th

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar will celebrate National Mojito Day by offering its Classic Mojito at a special price of $5 on Wednesday, July 11. Known to be a favorite drink of author Earnest Hemingway, the mojito is a traditional Cuban highball consisting of white rum, sugar, lime juice, sparkling water and mint. Cuba Libre’s version is made from a combination of freshly pressed sugar cane (called guarapo, which is pressed in-house), fresh lime juice, mint, Cuba Libre-branded white rum and a splash of soda and is one of ten handcrafted mojitos available at the restaurant. The restaurant also offers an extensive rum list showcasing 90+ premium and flavored varieties from Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua and Tortola. Rums are priced between $8 and $84 per shot, while mojitos are priced from $9.50 to $12 by the glass, and from $47.50 to $60 by the pitcher. Cuba Libre’s National Mojito Day special will be available all day exclusively in the bar/lounge at all four restaurant locations.
