Unforgettable Movie Review

Katherine Heigl stars in Unforgettable

Psycho Barbie

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: Tessa Connover (Katherine Heigl) is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband, David (Geoff Stults) becomes happily engaged to Julia Banks (Rosario Dawson) - not only bringing Julia into the home they once shared but also into the life of their daughter, Lilly (Isabella Rice.) Trying to settle into her new role as a wife and a stepmother, Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put her own troubled past behind her. But Tessa's jealousy soon takes a pathological turn until she will stop at nothing to turn Julia's dream into her ultimate nightmare. Directed by Denise Di Novi.

Tessa warns, "I can come on a little strong." A little? Heigl embraces her stronger, definitively more interesting side in Unforgettable, a familiar but brilliant erotic thriller, a la The Boy Next Door, et al.. Heigl's terrific (perhaps even award-worthy) as the bitter ex, who steals the future Mrs. Connover's cell phone, engagement ring and Facebook page, while fighting off insults... i.e. "Time doesn't exist at your age" from her very own mother. Is it Citizen Kane? Hardly, but everyone involved plays their parts to near-perfection; and it's filled with chills, thrills and zingers. What more could you ask for?

Grade: B+
