The win brought the Terriers into a first-place tie with AU in the league standings, with each team at 5-1. Boston Univ. will win the head-to-head tiebreaker after Saturday's victory and earned the right to host next week's four-team PL Tournament.

American fell to 11-6 overall on the season, while the Terriers climbed to 12-5.
