Kung Fu Panda 3 Movie Review

Po (Jack Black) & Li Shan (Bryan Cranston) star in Kung Fu Panda 3

The Mortal Realm

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, Kung Fu Panda 3. When Po's long-lost panda father (Bryan Cranston) suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai (J.K. Simmons) begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po (Jack Black) must do the impossible-learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

Po cautions, "Never underestimate the power of a dramatic entrance." Hollywood's cutest panda finds his (real) dad, then chi in Kung Fu Panda 3, the third installment of the popular animated franchise. Unfortunately, it's getting harder (and harder) to keep track of all the masters and new characters/voices. Don't get me wrong, there's still fun to be had (Kate Hudson rocks as Mei Mei) but it takes more than dumplings and jade zombies to hold a forty-something's interest for three movies. Your kids should still like it; but I'd just as soon watch the far superior original again/instead.
