Rotten Tomatoes Plot: Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the returning lineup of Ride Along 2, the sequel to the blockbuster action-comedy that gave us the year's most popular comedy duo. Joining Hart and Cube for the next chapter of the series are director Tim Story, as well as Cube's fellow producers - Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner - who will produce alongside Cube.
He might be short (in stature) but Hart's hilarious. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast struggles to keep up, seemingly content to let Hart do all the heavy lifting. Laughs aside (Apple ringtones, party crashing) Ride Along 2 is a poor man's Bad Boys... right down to its sequel status. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but don't go in expecting too much. Do expect the aforementioned chuckles, and a plethora of beautiful people (ahem... Olivia Munn) across a reasonable and relatively fast-paced 101 minutes. Worth your time, for Hart's one-man show alone... but we're this close to going overboard.
