Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary on Thursday, October 29th

Fans of the restaurant are invited to celebrate Cuba Libre's five years of service in Washington, DC with a party featuring delicious food, cocktails and live entertainment.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located steps from CityCenterDC at 801 9th Street, NW, will celebrate five years of service in Washington, DC with an anniversary celebration on Thursday, October 29th. Guests pay $35 per person to enjoy two signature cocktails, the Pyrat XO Mojito, made with Pyrat XO Rum, guarapo, lime, spearmint and club soda and the Mango Papaya Caipiroska, vodka, mango, papaya, lime, sugar, ice and an array of passed and stationary tapas, ceviches, and desserts prepared by Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot. Standout dishes include Spinach and Manchego Buñuelos, Manchego cheese and spinach puffs, served with a goat cheese-ranch sauce; Albondigas con Azafrán, handmade ground beef and pine nut meatballs, served in a saffron sauce; Cuban Sandwich Spring Rolls, sour orange marinated pork loin, Genoa salami, ham, provolone and Swiss cheese, served with a Chinese mustard dipping sauce; Shrimp Pinchos, grilled shrimp, Manchego crema and guajillo jam; Salmón Organico, organic salmon, orange salad, blood orange-passion fruit sauce and salmon caviar; Paella Marinera, shrimp, monkfish, clams, squid and saffron bomba rice, as well as Orange Porchetta, fennel and orange flavored pork belly wrapped around a center cut pork loin and chimichurri sauce. Additionally, guests will enjoy live entertainment courtesy of Joe Falero and his Cuban Trio Ensemble, plus a celebratory Champagne toast, and a variety of door prizes.
