Kastles to Play Three Home Matches in Final Week of Regular Season

On Sunday, July 26, Monday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 29, the defending Mylan World TeamTennis champion Washington Kastles will continue their home campaign for a fifth consecutive WTT King Trophy. Each home match will be held once again at Kastles Stadium at the Charles E. Smith Center in Foggy Bottom, located on 22nd Street NW between F and G Streets NW. Hall-of-Famer Martina Hingis will make her 2015 home debut in Washington on Sunday at 5:00 PM when the Kastles host the Springfield Lasers for a special early evening match.

The Kastles improved to 6-3 overall with a commanding 25-14 victory over the eastern conference rival Boston Lobsters on Thursday night. With only five matches remaining, the Kastles can clinch a playoff berth with a win tonight on the road in Austin to have a chance to secure home court advantage in the Eastern Conference Championship in front of a home crowd Sunday evening.

On Sunday, the doors to Kastles Stadium will open at 3:15 PM (doors will open at 5:15 PM for 7:00 PM matches on Monday and Wednesday.)

For the first time in WTT’s 40-year history, the Kastles, led by three-time WTT Coach of the Year Murphy Jensen, are seeking a fifth straight King Trophy as WTT champions with an all-star roster featuring Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Denis Kudla, Leander Paes, Sam Querrey, Anastasia Rodionova and Madison Brengle.
