Fort Reno 2015 Concert Series Gets Underway Tonight

Sometimes, the best things in life are free, especially when it comes to music. Not Napster mind you (Gosh, how old am I?) or The Pirate Bay, but live music. Concert prices can add up in a hurry, which makes Fort Reno such a popular option. Their summer concert series is as old as yours truly (1968) and despite financial woes challenges, is set to open another season later this evening. Shows start at 7, and there's always food & drink to be had (in addition to several affordable carry-out options nearby.) Click here for directions; and if it looks like rain, make sure to call (202) 355-6356 to see if the show will go on.

If you're not a local, the best way to get there is via Metro (Red Line: Tenleytown-AU.) Concerts are held directly across from Woodrow Wilson High School, and usually last until 9/9:30 PM. Note: No alcohol, drugs or glass bottles.
