Taken 3 Movie Review

Liam Neeson stars in Taken 3

Going Down the Rabbit Hole

Rotten Tomatoes PlotLiam Neeson returns as ex-covert operative Bryan Mills, whose reconciliation with his ex-wife is tragically cut short when she is brutally murdered. Consumed with rage, and framed for the crime, he goes on the run to evade the relentless pursuit of the CIA, FBI and the police. For one last time, Mills must use his "particular set of skills," to track down the real killers, exact his unique brand of justice, and protect the only thing that matters to him now - his daughter.

Neeson warns, "You say I'm so predictable; so I thought I'd shake things up." Promising words, but mere fodder in the hands of director Olivier Megaton. Taken 3 is an exercise in futility, almost ruined by Megaton's gosh-awful action direction (hands down, the worst ever) but eventually saved by its $20 million star. It's always fun to watch Neeson; but he spends most of his time avoiding cops and looking old. Why make another sequel, if you're going to stray off target? Taken = Neeson kicking ass... not this. Taken 4 is inevitable: Let's hope Megaton is nowhere to be found.
