1319 F Street, NW has seen its fair share of occupants (
Bensons Jewelers,
Finemondo & most recently
Noelia Italian Kitchen) but one thing has stayed the same (since its erection back on December 30, 2000) the 15' high
Howard Post Street Clock. It was designed to resemble a similar clock that occupied the 1400 block of F Street for over a
century (this one's a lot prettier) at a cost of about $15,000 (over $20K today, adjusted for inflation.) It keeps great time (thanks to a GPS satellite) and doesn't need regular maintenance like older clocks. I like it, because it looks
cool. Can you think of a
better reason, to make it our DC Shot of the Day?
