JINYA Ramen Bar Set to Open in North Bethesda's Pike & Rose

The first 100 guests will be treated to free slurpy-worthy ramen on opening day

We are pleased to announce that JINYA Ramen Bar, a full-service, sit-down restaurant, will be opening in North Bethesda's Pike & Rose, on August 7, 2018. This will be the restaurant’s third location in the DC Metropolitan area.

JINYA will kick off its Grand Opening starting at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, door prizes and other fun activities throughout the day. In addition, the first 100 guests will be treated to a free bowl of ramen. A portion of the proceeds from the opening day will be donated to Manna Food Center, an organization dedicated to ending hunger in Montgomery County, Maryland.

“We’re thrilled to introduce JINYA to North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose,” remarked JINYA Ramen Bar’s Hoang Nguyen. “We absolutely love the strong sense of community and everything that Pike & Rose has to offer. We look forward to being part of this growing, vibrant community for many years to come.”

Inspired by experiences with both Western and Eastern cultures, JINYA Ramen Bar specializes in authentic Tonkotsu ramen boasting bold flavors and a wide variety of customizable options for the American palate. In fact, the intricate food preparation process includes simmering the broth for over 10 hours, delivering a robust, flavorful experience in perfect balance with handmade noodles aged for three days.

Guests can expect a wonderful dining experience with JINYA Ramen Bar’s expansive menu offering something for everyone. JINYA Ramen Bar offers five broths as well as different tares and oils that alter the flavor profile of each dish. With various noodle types (thin, thick, extra thick and spinach) and over 25 different toppings, guests are able to customize their experience. In addition to Tonkotsu, ramen offerings such as the Spicy Chicken Ramen, Slurp Up Cilantro Ramen, Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen, and the “Cha Cha Cha” for garlic lovers are available. Other JINYA favorites include Salmon Poke mini tacos, JINYA Bun, Brussels Sprouts Tempura with truffle oil, Takoyaki, JINYA Quinoa Salad, and various rice bowls and curry - to name a few. To end the meal on a sweet note, guests may select from dessert offerings such as the Green Tea or Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream, Panna Cotta and Green Tea Pistachio or Triple Berry White Chocolate BlockPops.

Patrons will be able to pair their dishes with a selection from the beverage program, including local craft and Japanese beers, Japanese-inspired cocktails, whiskey, sake, wine, as well as seasonal, house-made, tea-based non-alcoholic beverages. The beer selection will primarily showcase local breweries including Manor Hill Brewing in an effort to show support for its community after the devastating flood in Ellicott City. Notably, the Whisky Highball, a popular Japanese libation - created using a Japanese-designed Highball machine distributed by Japanese whisky brand Suntory Toki - will also be featured on the cocktail menu in the future. Currently, only a handful of U.S. locations boast this sleek equipment, with JINYA Ramen Bar being the first in DC.

JINYA Ramen Bar’s space will offer seating for up to 74 guests (including a 10-seat full bar) and an outdoor patio featuring a communal table with a fire pit as the centerpiece seating 18 guests.

JINYA will initially be open daily for lunch, dinner, and Happy Hour (Sunday-Thursday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Friday & Saturday from 11:00 AM to 11:00PM.) Food and Drink Happy Hour specials will be served daily from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Hours may be adjusted in the near future based on the neighborhood's needs.
