‘French restaurant week’ - a celebration of French dining at Bastille

Springtime in Paris is legendary. The weather brings out beautiful blooming flowers and the season’s harvest begins. From Tuesday, May 1 - Sunday, May 6th, Chef/owners Christophe & Michelle Poteaux of Bastille celebrate this beautiful time in France by offering a three-course lunch at $25 and a three-course dinner at $35.

For lunch, guests may choose three course from an array of offerings including Charcuterie, cheeses, soups and salads and entrees that include Chicken “Paillard” - buttermilk-marinated fried chicken breast, over duck fat smashed potatoes with chicken jus and salad of arugula, radicchio, pickled shallots and honey-mustard dressing; mussels of the day with pommes frites; and Risotto aux Champignons - Spring mushrooms and chives risotto with Parmesan crisp. Dessert choices include Crème Brûlée à l’Orange - Orange and custard with caramelized sugar; Spring Pavlova - Pistachio dusted crisp meringue, rhubarb compote, crème Chantilly, fresh strawberries and strawberry sorbet and Profiteroles au chocolat - “Choux” pastries filled with Vanilla ice cream and Valrhona chocolate sauce.


For dinner, choices include appetizers like Escargots Gratinés - spring garlic puree, leeks, and butter-parsley crumble; Beignets de crevettes - Rock shrimp savory beignet, guacamole and lime; and Foie Gras Terrine - Five-spice cured foie gras terrine, house chutney and pain d’epices. Entree choices include Saumon poelé aux fines herbes - Sustainably farm-raised Verlasso salmon filet, English pea puree, baby carrots, turnips, sugar snaps, cipoline and fine herbes beurre monté; Loup de Mer “Paella” - seared Mediterranean Branzino and littleneck clams, over slow-baked rice with shellfish saffron broth, baby artichokes, fennel , peas, carrots and aioli; Magret de Canard à la rubarbe - Moullard duck breast, Jerez vinegar gastrique, caramelized rhubarb, strawberries and stone-ground grits; Roti de porc au fenouil - roasted pork loin, roasted orange-fennel marmalade, wild rice, grilled asparagus and pork jus; and Poulet roti à l’ail - roasted half Amish chicken with roasted garlic-herb glaze, grilled asparagus, cipoline, carrots and pommes puree. Dessert choices include Profiterole Classique - “Choux” pastries filled with house-made vanilla bean ice cream and topped with Valrhona chocolate fudge; Gâteau Allemande (a.k.a. German Chocolate) - Valrhona cocoa cake, coconut-pecan filling,Valrhona bittersweet chocolate crèmeux and coconut ice cream; and Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake - fresh lemon cream, New York style cheesecake, meringue, Graham crumble, raspberry sorbet and fresh raspberries.

Bastille is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 AM until 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM until 9 PM serving brunch, lunch, dinner and all day dining with café and bar menu offered.
