True Food Kitchen Now Open in Bethesda

From our friends at True Food Kitchen...

True Food Kitchen, the seasonally inspired health-driven restaurant, is now open in Bethesda, Maryland at the Solaire Building. Co-founded by integrative medicine specialist Dr. Andrew Weil and eight-time James Beard Award nominee for Restaurateur of the Year Sam Fox, the restaurant’s progressive and flavor-forward menu is rooted in the principles of Dr. Weil’s anti-inflammatory food pyramid. The opening of True Food Kitchen Bethesda marks the brand’s second restaurant in the DC Metro region, with another location in Fairfax, Virginia at the Mosaic District.

Executive Chef Randall Matthews leads the Bethesda culinary and kitchen team, working closely with Dr. Weil to develop seasonal menu items with nutrient-rich ingredients. Using Dr. Weil’s anti-inflammatory food pyramid as the foundation for the menu, Chef Matthews crafts wholesome, flavorful food with simple preparations for a menu that rotates regularly to let guests experience great-tasting ingredients and produce at the peak of their freshness.

“This is an exciting time for True Food Kitchen as the brand makes its Maryland debut,” said Christine Barone, Chief Executive Officer. “Bethesda is a lively, active community of people and we look forward to introducing them to our health-driven seasonal fare.”

Open daily for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, True Food Kitchen’s vibrant menu rotates regularly to allow guests the opportunity to experience great-tasting menu items, including a variety of gluten-free, naturally organic, vegetarian, and vegan offerings prepared using the season’s ripest ingredients at the peak of freshness. At True Food Kitchen, guests will find a variety of signature dishes like the Heirloom Tomato Pizza with grilled artichoke, roasted garlic, vegan almond ricotta and black truffles, Pan Roasted Chicken with corn, green garbanzo, Fresno chili, feta, cilantro and, a pumpkin seed pesto in addition to flavorful and healthful bowls, sandwiches and antioxidant-packed desserts.
