June is here, which means Father’s Day and summer are on the immediate horizon, and the aisles at Safeway stores are fully stocked with creative options for families celebrating dads.
Grilling is one of the top options for Father’s Day dinners, and naturally Safeway’s meat and seafood departments offer options for all tastes, including USDA Choice beef steaks, extra meaty pork back ribs, fresh ground beef burger patties, lobster tails, shrimp and wild salmon fillets.
Deli offers options to accompany dinner, as well as prepared foods for ease of planning and presentation, with summer favorites such as savory Signature Café Ribs and fried chicken. Safeway’s sides include potato and macaroni salads, cole slaw, and Signature Café white and yellow American cheese.
Produce is the place for abundant fresh selections, including whole seedless watermelons, yellow peaches and nectarines, fresh strawberries, corn and asparagus perfect for grilling, and much more.
Safeway has a large selection of Father’s Day greeting cards and gift cards, while floral is offering Father’s Day bouquets and themed balloons.
The Safeway bakery department always features themed sweets, with offerings including single layer fudge cakes, special decorated message cookies and Father’s Day-themed decorated cakes and cupcakes.
Beer and wine specials at Safeway stores include Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Kendall Jackson Vintners Reserve Chardonnay, as well as Blue Moon and Leinenkugels 12 packs.
Snack and soda offerings include Utz Potato Chips, Oreos, Nabisco Snack Crackers, Jack Links Jerky and Coca-Cola.
