Sunday Is the New Night Out at 701 Restaurant to Experience Love Thy Neighborhood

With its fashionable address, elegant décor, live piano jazz and delicious fare, 701 Restaurant is the perfect place to indulge for a night out on the town, especially on Sunday. Beginning Sunday, March 5th and continuing all summer long, 701 will welcome guests and neighbors alike for a special evening with the new “Love Thy Neighbor” offering available exclusively from 5 PM to 9:30 PM.

Those partaking in “Love Thy Neighbor” can take a seat in the restaurant’s 24-seat lounge and enjoy complimentary bar snacks along with rail spirits, featured cocktails, beers and wines by the glass that are each priced at $7 each. Current libations include the Autumnal Reverie with sparkling wine, Tito's vodka, thyme, pamplemousse and lemon; 99 Vines Pinot Noir, Festivo Torrontes, and Simonet Blanc De Blanc, as well as beers such as the Hofbräu “Original” Lager from Munich, Germany, 3 Stars “Peppercorn Saison” from Washington, DC, Evolution “Lot No.3”, from Salisbury, MD, Tall Tales “Backdraft”, from Parsonsburg, MD, and the Duck Rabbit “Milk Stout”, from Farmville, NC. Featured bar snacks, created by Executive Chef Benjamin Lambert, include Spanakopita, Samosas, Seasonal Bruschetta, and Foie Mousse with twice-baked beets.


Additionally, those looking to stay for dinner in the dining room can enjoy a $35 three-course, prix fixe menu prepared by Executive Chef Benjamin Lambert, available from 5 PM to 9 PM exclusively on Sundays. The menu begins with a choice of appetizers such as Baby Lettuce with cherry tomatoes, pecorino, almonds and green goddess dressing; Twice Baked Beets with foie gras mousse, black olive soil and pomegranate meringue, and Smoked Sunchoke Soup with mushroom toast, crème fraîche and lardo. Entrées are just as enticing and include Atlantic Salmon with shitake, clams, scallions and coconut broth; Green Circle Chicken Breast with wild mushroom, rhubarb and wheat berries, as well as the Cauliflower Shawarma with hummus, golden raisins, tomato and lavish. To complete the meal on a sweet note, guests can opt for the Carrot Cake with crème fraîche ice cream and carrot sauce or the Sangria Poached Pear with walnut granola and ginger ice cream.

Located in Washington, DC’s hip Penn Quarter, 701 Restaurant is one of the DC’s favorite power spots for dining and entertaining, it is conveniently located close to The White House and Capitol Hill at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
