Espita Mezcaleria to Offer To-Go Specials in Honor of Super Bowl 51

Espita Mezcaleria, the popular Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC at 1250 9th Street, NW, will celebrate Super Bowl 51 with a special to-go menu on Sunday, February 5th. Fans won’t want to miss Executive Chef Alexis Samayoa’s menu, which offers rustic flavors that combine traditional Mexican and modern technique while staying true to the spirit of Southern Mexican fare. Pigskin fans can opt for the Chicken Tacos with bell pepper sofrito or Al Pastor Tacos with salsa ranchero and seared pineapple (tacos come with protein, fixings, & tortillas), priced at $40 for a serving of four. A selection of salsas, served with heirloom corn tortilla chips will also be available and priced at $15 per pint. Salsa flavors include the Pistachio with roasted tomatillo, Serrano, sherry and mint; Verde Asado with roasted tomatillo, onion, garlic and Serrano flesh; Chipotle Tomatillo with chipotle moritas, onion and garlic; Borracha with mezcal, orange and chipotle moritas and the Arbol with sesame, pepitas, cider vinegar and all-spice. Orders must be placed by Friday, February 3rd at 5 PM. Super Bowl specials will be available for pick-up on Sunday, February 5th from 10:30 AM to 5 PM.
