Back for its 2nd year with 125 fine craft artisans, studio furniture creators to participate in juried show

Returning for its second year, the American Fine Craft Show Washington returns to the DC Armory October 21-23 with 125 craft artisans, who will be joined by American furniture crafts persons from throughout the country in The Washington Studio Furniture Showcase. The American Fine Craft Show replaced the Washington Craft Show which was retired two years ago. Among the artists will be Alexandria, Virginia furniture craftsman Sean Lambkin.

This juried event is produced by Joanna and Richard Rothbard of American Art Marketing of New York City. Their museum-benefit fine craft shows include Brooklyn Museum’s American Fine Craft Show. The Washington, DC event will feature many artists from throughout the United States and Canada who have not exhibited in this region. Artisans’ work will include functional & sculptural pottery and art glass, wearable art, weaving, basketry, handmade furniture, sculpture, painting, jewelry, leather and mixed media.

Said Richard Rothbard, “Attendees can expect a one of a kind art experience of exceptional diversity, with work from artists who have exhibited in the prestigious Smithsonian & Philadelphia Craft Shows along with work that is fun, functional and affordable.”
