Master Mezcalier Josh Phillips is pleased to add new Boozy and “Precio Fijo”, or prix fixe, options to the popular weekend brunch service at Espita Mezcaleria, the Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC at 1250 9th Street, NW. “Precio Fijo” is priced at $29 per person (tax and gratuity not included), and includes guacamole and two salsas for the table followed by a choice of first course, second course, and sides for sharing. This special brunch offer must be ordered for the entire table. Brunch can also be ordered a la carte for a light bite, with prices ranging from $3 to $15 per dish. Next, guests can select one first course and second course from the pre-selected offerings. Standouts from the first course section of the menu include Green Kale Salad with candied walnuts, queso fresco, chile pasilla and agave vinaigrette; Tinga Tlacoyo, masa turnover filled with chicken tinga, topped with salsa verde and onions, or the Yogurt Parfait with pepitas, fruit, coconut and piloncillo granola.

Second course options are just as enticing and include Maitake Tacos, three tacos with salsa borracha and pickled white onions; Chilango, potato hash, slaw poached eggs, green chorizo and salsa verde; Biscuits & Eggs, jalapeño Chihuahua biscuits, Serrano ham, slow poached eggs and arbol hollandaise, or the Machaca Tacos, three tacos with shredded adobo, brisket, scrambled eggs and salsa cascabel.
